liver problem please help

hi
i m 59yr old male recently i had nose bleeding and doctor ordered few liver functiong test for me. the test results are
ast 42
alt 31
and did the ultrasound of liver and the expression is
usg finding shows prominant sized liver dsiplaying slight dcrease in echopattren.
and my prothrombin time test was 87.5%
please let me know do i have serious condition or my liver is damaged

You may want to have them check for hepatitis C. Some doctors don't even think to check for this. After my ast and alt became elevated, I found out I have had hep c for over 25 years & I have liver damage now.

from the data presented to me I don not think you have a serious liver problem but the liver may not be entirely normal either.  There could be a little fat in the liver.  Its important to note the cause of the nose bleeding.  liver conditions can cause this if the platelet count is low.
