Liver Cysts

by KRMANLEY, Oct 01, 2009 12:16PM
The doctor found a cyst on my liver when I was having a CT for my kidneys. I have been going in complaining of Fullness and pain in my upper abdomen. I have a high sed rate as well as protein in my blood. I am going in for a full ultrasound of my liver next week to see what is exactly going on. What worries me is that my dad and older sister died from liver cancer. Should I be worried yet?

i agree with the above.  The elevated ESR is abnormal and needs to be followed up--it may be unrelated to the cyst.

Try not to worry about it right now .  If they had said tumor that would be different. Cysts are usually pockets of air or fluid sometimes they just pop and go away. I had one on my ovary that they checked every six months, they it dissapeared. Now I have one on my liver, they've been checking that one has been checked for three years so far it is the same size . I have to go in for another six month check at the end of this month.  Good Luck to you and leave me a not as to what happens.   june
