itching in hands and legs for transplanted patient

hi Dr
my mum did her liver transplant 10 month ago  and she is taking prograf medicine but now a days she is starting to have itching in her hands and feet so is that related to the prograf? or that something to do with the liver? and what should we do ?

In other words, itching is a sign of liver function decrease.  When the liver isn't working correctly, bilirubin can cause itching - particularly in the feet and hands.  Call the doctor and ask for help.  After all, your mom just bought a very expensive surgery and deserves to be treated well.

i doubt the itching is related to the prgraf.  need to make sure that the liver is in fact totally normal in function and that there is no bile duct issue.
