acsitis
my mother has cancer in her liver and the drs cant seem to help her acsitis, she is currently on chemo without much success.she is a real fighter but is struggling with the discomfort from the fluid. do you have any suggestions to help her reduce the fluid? please help!!

typically diuretics and a paracentesis which is a needle draining the ascites. dandelion root is a good aquaretic to also try. the taps may be necessary and bring a great relief even though the fluid can return.
sorry to hear about your mom conditions..the best i know also im not a doctor but i have a relative with the same conditions..doctors first advise to have bed rest and salt restricted diet with a combine drugs called diuretics. if its not of any help she should have abdominal paracentesis.
