eventration of my liver

by lynk58, Aug 30, 2008 11:01AM
I was told by a surgeon my liver has gone into my lung area, behind my ribcage.  How abnormal is This?  I need to lose weight, what type of excercise I should not do?

i think this needs surgery to have it fixed.  you should see a hepatobiliary surgeon if you have not already.

Dr, I have been searching for a hepatobiliary surgeon in south GA and North FL, but I have not found anyone. Do you know of hepatobiliary surgeon in this area?  Dr. how long can I live with my liver in the lung area without surgery?  The only problem I am having at this time is shortness of breath sometimes,(especially when I try to excerise),discomfort on my rightside and in my back.  What type excercise should I avoid to keep my liver from moving up further?

Thank you for the suggestions, Is there a reason while you did not answer the question how long can I live with my lung out of place?

no reason.  i think you should have a normal life otherwise.
