spontaneous cleared hep c

Hi Dr,

Just wondering, I was cleared of Hep C about 3 years ago now. I had second stage scarring but cleared the virus after contracting hep B.

I still have small ridges on my nails that i got when i had an active virus. Will this go? I had my liver function tested recently and it was good, my iron a  little low. Can the virus come back?

not sure about the nail findings.  don't think due to any liver condition.  If the HCV is undetectable in the blood more than 1 year after successful treatment I have never seen anyone recur. iron deficiency can cause some nail problems.

the fibrosis in the liver will regress but often will take up to a couple of years.
