breathlessness 5 weeks after transplant

My liver transplant was a great success, but after leaving hospital,I began to have periods of breathlessness. This has now got much worse-just walking a few steps or climbing the stairs makes it worse.I am taking 6 mg of prograf daily (3mg in the morning and 3mg in the evening) and 1000mg of microphenolate per day together with 5mg of prednisolone.Do you think my problem is caused by these drugs,or do you think there is more to it?In every other aspect i am fine-my blood results are excellent and my liver function tests are normal.

Be sure your dr rules out pneumonia too.

your symptoms are not directly due to the medications.  you must make sure that you don't have any infection such as CMV.  Decreased energy level and increased shortness of breath with exertion are common after transplant for a little while.
