Thanks, mojo. Sigh. I've had this new computer for several months, and it's still a drag. I guess I know why it was marked down. Ha!
Jackie, don't feel bad. My iPad has an auto correct that doesn't work, if I don't look closely it makes many mistakes.
Hugs
ooops -- typo up above:
I posted: "The doc has a blog ... about his views on Lyme diagnosis and treatment, which views are more in line with what we around here call LLMDs (Lyme-literate medication [should be 'medical'] doctors) ..."
Okay, so far, even with the misuse of the word 'medication'. But then the rest of the sentence reads this way, in effect:
"... [LLMDs] ... take the position that a couple weeks of doxycycline will cure you, no matter how long you have had Lyme and apparently what other infections the 'Lyme' ticks may have brought along."
NO!!!! I really messed that one up. LLMDs are the good guys, and the ones who think a couple weeks of doxy will cure you are non-LLMDs. Sorry. This is a new keyboard and it's too easy to accidentally delete several lines of typed text as I'm flying along, but I don't see it happen.
The correction is: it's not LLMDs who think a little doxy will cure -- it's the NON-LLMDs who take that view. Doxy can work, but only if it's started very very soon after being bit, and many of us don't ever see a tick or a rash, so there's no chance to get treated quickly with doxy.
Sorry, I'll try to proofread for a change! J
I wrote about him too. I think the state of MD shouldn't do this. I also wrote a letter of support. We can't let the medical community do this to our LLMD
