Appt today regarding treatment..

OK went in to see my GP today to discuss treatment and to get started on something.  She was going to put me on Rocephin (shots) and doxy.  However my LLMD only suggested to start on 1000 mg Ceftin so she's going with his recomendations.  However the pharmacy was out of it and can't have it in until Monday.  I was all pumped and ready to being treatment today!!   Oh well.  

My GP is being GREAT!!!  She totally believes in Chornic lyme disease and has actually treated another lyme patient in the past.  She understands the controversy and told me that we're going to have a hard time getting insurance to cover appts and followups with my LLMD.  But, atleast she can prescibe me the meds so that will be free.

She wrote up a referral for him, but he's not in our insurance network nor does he accept insurance... so I think we're trying to get them to reinburse me for my appts.

It's so frustrating to be sick and not able to get treament and appointments paid for!  Ridiculous!!  I'm just so happy my GP is along for the ride!!  

Anyways feelin ok... but today I'm having that burning scalp and I still keep getting those chills/goosebumps thing but ONLY on my left side!!  What is up with that??  It's driving me crazy!!

When you know you'll need a refill for your prescription, calendar to call ahead so the pharmacy can order it if they are out --  just a thought!

Wow that is great she believes in chronic lyme, she is correct about the controversy.  I still often wonder if I should go to a LLMD, my symptoms are ok right now..no problems.  I have never had the goosebumps thing...that would drive me nuts too!!!
Take care of yourself!!! The doxy will definitely help along with the Ceftin heard alot about the Rocephin also in that book I am reading...good stuff!!
