Bulls-eye Rash

About 2-3 years ago, I pulled a biting deer tick off of my foot. After a day or so later I developed a rash that spread out in waves to about 4 inches and then it faded away. I went to my Dr a few months later to get tested for Lyme and the test came back negative. I am and have been symptom free.
Now I have read that tests can be false positive. Should I have more tests?

Tests can be false positive or false negative.  Mostly false negative in my opinion.  It's up to you regarding further testing.  The fact that you have no symptoms is good.

I don't believe in any tests being false positive. I find that silly!  Our medical community likes to use that term because the ELISA testing is total ****.. any good lyme doctor will look at ONE positive lyme band along with your symptoms along with a short course of abx and wait to see if you herx.

Anyway, why don't you do some reading on lyme disease; a great site is lymenetdot org it will enlighten you on this very politically charged disease. Lots to learn and understand about lyme, the MIS diagnosis of this disease, why the medical community isn't up to par, and you as the patient can take control and get treatment if you need it.
If I were you and had a rash (I never saw a rash) I would educate myself and not let any doctor or test result course my wellness.

Best to you.

I will see my Dr and ask about what test was done.
Tory, not only did I clearly see the rash but I pulled off the biting deer tick. I do know what they look like and what the difference is from the common dog or cat tick.
I did not take action at the time due to my just finishing my treatment for Hep-C. The treatment was brutal, on body and mind. Now I can pursue this Lyme problem.

I certainly understand you being overwhelmed, but now take the time and understand what is involved with lyme. We as the patient need to learn about this disease and take our wellness into our own hands, unfortunately. lymenetdotorg is a site to learn and ask questions. Post about your rash, and what testing you've had so far. There are people just like you that will help.
