Can artimisia worsen seizures?

I have had simple complex seizures where I have a slight aura here and there. Can artimisia cause them to worsen? I'm feeling a bit anxious about this! I feel like I'm having an aura from it. I don't know if it's because I'm just anxious or if it really can significantly worsen them??

Have you talked to your MD and/or your pharmacist?

That is not something I have heard in my herbal support groups. I use to get seizures a lot before being treated for Lyme and  Bartonella.

At the time I was taking oral abx to treat.

I don't know -- it's not something I read about when I was ill.

It is a very good question, tho.  What does your doc say?  If the doc doesn't answer or answers in a way that doesn't leave you comfortable, then I would get a second opinion from another doc, or ask your current doc for some other approach.

Docs are not always good at explaining things, since some patients aren't interested or are too ill to follow the explanation -- and some docs just are not communicative.  If you don't get satisfactory explanation of the possibilities and their outcome, I would def. see another doc for a second opinion (which you do not have to tell your current doc about).

Sorry not to be of more help -- I would be anxious too, just on general principles -- also remember that Lyme messes with one's emotions and thoughts.  Don't blame yourself for feeling anxious -- it could be a side effect of the infection(s), a side effect of the meds, and/or a direct effect of your illness(es) -- and it is certainly a rational response to illness to fell anxiety.
