Hi - everyone

I had chest x-ray & standard blood test results today - they are all normal

which is great news.

I have been given 'omeprazole' to try for 'acid reflux' - almost certainly caused by 'doxy'

my instructions are to take 'omeprazole' for 2/3 days - if that settles the 'acid reflux' then to start 'doxy' - 100 mg. - gradually working up to 300mg daily - depending on my 'digestive reaction'.


I have to have 'ultra sound' scan on my neck swelling - on Friday

I asked G.P. if he could - ask Lab that did 'lyme blood test' - if it was ELISA or WESTERN BLOT - as they wouldn't tell me anything!! - he said he would try and find out - I got the feeling he was starting to get a bit 'put out' by the time I got around to asking him if he could find out more about 'lyme test' - so I left it at that - thought I would quit while I was ahead !

It's hard to tell which test they did.  It could be either the ELISA or a WB without the bands reported.

I did get 'a copy' ! - just a piece of paper with labs. name and basically a 'negative' serology test.- no details.

If the test was 'ELISA' - would it have any detailed info ? - or is that only with W.B. ?

Do you not have the right to get copies of your test results?  I think it's the law here, that we have a right to get copies.

I tested negative for 'lyme' - but started 'doxy' on LLMD's advice/opinion.

I am hoping the lyme test was a Western Blot so that I might be able to get a more conclusive dx.

I didn't pay for the lyme test - it was done through my G.P. -

I may try asking thr lab. that did it - I have already phoned them - but they weren't willing to discuss much - just kept saying ' it was negative for burgderfori.

Did you test positive for lyme?  They should tell you what test you've had done.  That's really weird.  

Hope your acid reflux gets better :)
