"So should I have it done a third time?"
That's up to you, your doctor and your insurance.
Repeating:
"A WB is not infallible and IS variable."
A third time------ the test is still unpredictable.
So should I have it done a third time? Does anyone know why my IgG is still negative?
I had been sick for over a year (just fatigued and achy) when I had my 1st WB done, but my neuro problems only started a few months before that, so when the results were only IgM positive I actually talked myself into believing that I had been bitten recently and my all my aches and pains were unrelated.
Now that its been 4 months since the first test and IgG is still neg I'm more confused than ever!
I don't have the background resources to give for this (but they're out there on the Internet) but a WB run on you on several consecutive days by the same lab could show completely different results. I think I've even read hour by hour but not sure about that.
The same blood taken on one day from you can be sent to the same lab can be different.

Mainstream Western Blot tests are not as sensitive as IgeneX labs.
I had a similar thing happen. Mainstream Western Blot showed negative for me. Later when I went to an LLMD and she used IgeneX, I was positive.
