It kind of seems like an issue

My doctor only seems to be concerned about any diarrhea.  Well, at least when you have diarrhea you're getting rid of toxins.  What about no movements at all??  Is that not an issue?  It sort of seems like it would be a bigger issue than diarrhea.  Is it not??

It's hard enough for me to talk about the subject, so it's not something that I am going to keep bringing to the doctor attention.  I mentioned it once, and I don't want to mention it again.  I mean, it's obviously not a concern to my doctor.  But I just can not help but think that it can be a problem.

I can take things that sometimes help but the thing is, I shouldn't need to.  I'm not sure what is going on that would cause that.  I'm for treating the underlying cause rather than continually treating the symptoms.

I'm not even sure what test I would order to figure out what (if anything) is going on.

Any ideas???

With Lyme since it mimics everything most doctors don't find anything.
I have had the throat issue too for a little while.

I need to get the toxins out so I may have to use something and many lymies use coffee enemas. I don't but its common.

Thanks.  Yes I have read a little on paralysis of the gut.  But I just thought that was associated with diarrhea for some reason.

I don't like laxatives, but rather I noticed that biofilm specific medications and supplements are somewhat helpful...  I wasn't totally sure why.

Been having a lot of issues with my throat as well.  It get's really tough to swallow sometimes..  So perhaps the two go hand and hand.

I just do not like doctors.  And one is more than enough for me....  My luck they wouldn't find anything anyhow.

Paralysis of the gut doesn't always have anything to do with Lyme disease but it can.

I'm a sorta expert on this because a close friend had the same problem late last year and I collected a lot of info about it plus when to the NP that was treating him.

He also had early satiety issues, which may or may not be associated with constipation.

Have you read this?

I'm not saying this is what the problem is.

I know you can't or won't talk to the doctor about this----- but constipation is a very big problem if it continues and perhaps you should see a GI doctor.

I can give you ideas but do NOT want to say those are what you need!!!
Taking a laxative though is probably not the thing to do. In fact a regular laxative may be totally inappropriate.

If you want to continue to talk about this via P.M. I'm willing to.

Yes I take a probiotic and they never do anything for me.  Diarrhea is not the issue.  It is lack of excretion.  Like nothing is being processed at all.  Everything I eat just sits in my tummy and overtime my stomach starts to expand, like I'm 7 mos pregnant or something.

I have not been very tolerant of Lyme medications and I am not sure if maybe, perhaps this could have something to do with it.

It doesn't seem like I have issues with meds right away, it usually takes closer to a month.  Almost like the medications accumulate or are not being processed appropriately.

Are you taking a probiotic? Everyone is told to take one everyday. That does help. I had severe diarrhea 2 years ago. I lost 30lbs in one month and it was terrible. I did every test under the sun but they couldn't figure it out. It just stopped on its own I took Imodium a lot.
