LLMD near Kansas City, MO?
We are desperately looking for an LLMD near Kansas City. My daughter has been very ill for six months and has been to so many doctors and specialists to no avail. Does anyone have any recommendations, please!?

Very sorry to hear about your daughter's condition. I have the name of a well known and highly respected Lyme specialist not too far from you and will send it to you in a 'private message' on this site.
If you look at the blue bar at the top of this screen, one of the buttons is called 'My MedHelp'. If there is a message waiting for you, there will be a number as well: "My MedHelp (1)'.
The reason for the secrecy is that in too many jurisdictions, state and medical boards may harass and threaten Lyme specialists for 'over-diagnosing' and 'over-treating' Lyme, while in my experience, it is the so-called mainstream docs who underdiagnose, undertreat and completely misunderstand how serious Lyme is. Thus Lyme specialists in many jurisdictions are hampered in their ability to treat patients if the medical boards take a mind to interfere.
The doc whose name I am sending you is very much out in the open, so posting his name would not be a problem, but it's confusing for people who come to this site to see some names stated fully and others hidden. Sorry for the cloak and dagger routine.
If this doc is not available for some reason, his office may be able to suggest another Lyme specialist nearby. If that doesn't work, please let us know and we'll try again.
