I was just wondering if you've seen a doctor yet about your Bulls eye rash. I scanned the forums and I am experiencing the same thing. My rash has faded but not completely gone. was it in fact Lyme desease that you had?
I had a bite from a 'mosquito' type fly - the rash looked just like the pics. of a 'bullseye' that I have seen - I took a photo - just incase. It was itcy for a day or so - it was about 5 inches in diameter and swollen - also it was very red and hot.
I would say it took about 2 weeks to go completely. I was walking near 'stagnant water' from land drainage.
I am pretty sure it hasn't infected me - but who knows since I already have lyme!
I don't seem to have any new/worse symptoms [knock on wood].
Take care - Everyone

Yep, sounds like a bullseye rash. I had two rashes back to back, still don't know if I was infected twice. Nonetheless, mine were warm to touch and probably lasted a week. Does that sound right to you guys?
Yes, but it was not hot to touch. I just had the bullseye rash. And my skin is completely back to normal..the bite mark isn't even there now.
Ok, thanks for the help.
I will tell you all whats going on
When you see an MD, they may tell you that unless a tick stays 'attached' to you for [24] [48] [72] hours, there is no way the tick could infect you.
However, I have never seen any 'evidence-based medicine' studies PROVING that it takes that short or long for a tick to put bacteria into your bloodstream. Many doctors pooh-pooh the possibility of Lyme, but considering what a high value they place on 'evidence', they come up a little short on proving how long it takes for tick spit to be a problem.
I'd see an LLMD (an MD who specializes in Lyme) as soon as possible. Good luck, let us know what happens.
I have gotten bites that temporarily look like a bullseye (a few hours). The bullseye from a lyme rash usually lasts longer. Google erythema migrans rash or lyme rash and read about it. I would still ask your doctor.
Well I told a few people and they said that if it was a tick bite then the tick wouldv'e stayed on me a lot longer than 30-45 minutes. So your saying that other insects can cause a bullseye rash?
Sometimes a bite from another insect initially appears like a bullseye then goes away. My bullseye rashes were present at least a month. I would let your doctor know just to be safe. Is it possible you got bit by a tick?
