PS -- have you talked to your doc about taking magnesium supplements? It helps anxiety a LOT for me and others I know.
Lyme bacteria use up Lyme in your body, and that often causes anxiety. Any kind of magnesium is usually okay, as long as it ends in "-ate" -- such as magnesium malate, citrate, aspartate, orotate, etc. Available at drug stores or from vitamin catalogs and stores.
I have read that a particular brand that combines calcium and magnesium, called 'CalMag', is not very effective, don't know why. But any good brand of magnesium should do. I've used several, and they are all fine. I've also recommended taking magnesium to several other people, and they've told me it worked well for them too, very soothing.
(One reason babies get all floppy after nursing or getting a bottle of milk is that their stomachs are full and warm, but also because of the magnesium in the milk.)
I know you're having a hard time, but hang on, and see the baby's doc about your post above. You are handling a lot, so just know that we're sending all good thoughts and wishes. I remember how tired I was when my baby was little -- and it was exhausting. It will pass, but in the meantime, take care --
"While pregnant I was supposed to take amoxicillin 875mg teice a day and azithromicin 275mg twice a day I was so concerned about what the antibiotics would do to my child so I took the antibiotics once a day."
So you were taking half the daily dose your doctor prescribed? Did you get the doc's agreement that it was all right? If not, I would see the doc right away. There's a reason a dose is fixed at a certain level, and it's to kill the bacteria, not just weaken them, and this applies not only in Lyme treatment but in all treatment for all bacterial infections.
I would without delay take myself *and* my child to the Lyme doc for a consultation and tell the doc honestly and completely what you were taking and not taking, and that you are breast feeding, and all other details.
Whether you passed Lyme to your child is for the doctor to determine. When the doc tells you what to do now, please follow the instructions exactly. Your baby is relying on you. Best wishes --
