Possible Lyme disease?

This was originally posted in the dermatology forum, but still not one response as to what this might be so I am posting here.

I have had these pin size red dots on my fingers starting about 2.5 years ago. They are mainly on the very tips though there is a patch of them that has now formed  on the side of my right index finger by the first knuckle. They are just under the skin and can be itchy and get inflamed when I scratch them. I have stuck a pin in them and a clear liquid comes out for just a second. It also feels as if pressure is released when I do this. I have also gone as far as shaving the top layer or two of skin in the areas with a razor blade and when I do this, again, a clear liquid comes out and there are little pockets or holes where the red dots were.

About a year ago I went to the dermatologist and he told me it was eczema. I have looked at hundreds of pics and cannot find any that look close to what I have. A couple months before I started to get these red dots I had formed what seems to be a callus between my index finger and thumb on both hands in the exact same spot. No, I do not use tools or anything else that would cause these to form. I shave them with a razor and they return after about a week. I mention this because I believe this is all related.

On a side note, I have had many other symptoms that started at about the same time as the red dot issues. Muscle twitching/spasms, diverticulitis,(diagnosed) 3 ulcers, arthritis throughout my body, constant fatigue, one kidney is atrophic, massive headaches in the morning and other obscure symptoms. I'm only 37 years old and should not have all of these things go wrong at about the same time.(about 2-3 years ago) I was in great shape until this point.

I have been to two neurologists, a urologist, a rheumatologist, two general practitioners, and even a psychiatrist.(After the neurologist suggested it was nerves and all in my head. I have had so many tests done including cat scans on my head, Lyme test, tons of bloodwork, spec scan, and even a psychiatric test wich all have come back normal/negative.

I believe this is all somehow related because the symptoms just keep getting worse. I have been to many doctors about all this and they all throw their hands up in the air. Personally I think it's some type of autoimmune disease. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

No, I haven't had anything like the symptoms you describe.

Lyme and the other ailments that sometimes come with Lyme affect everyone differently, and then they also mess with the whole immune system to produce odd effects too, so it's tricky.

It's very frustrating when you post a question and get no response, isn't it? good thinking trying a different forum; I've done the same.  The dr @ the headache forum is fabulous and always answers promptly.
I have stress excema on my shins and it's horribly itchy.  I never tried squeezing the little patches to see if fluid came out and I don't have it right now to give it a try.  it looks like litte red bumps though, they itch like whatever expletive you like, and when it didn't heal i thought it was skin cancer which I have a horror of.  were you given anything to try for contact dermatitis? I'm not sure what that looks like, just throwing out an idea, JackieCalifornia sounds knowledgable-were you exposed to anything like that?  I was shocked to find out I had Lyme, you never know till you're tested about some of that stuff.
Good luck to you and hope you feel better soon.
ps-i get migraines too, aren't they awful?

Greetings --

The person who posted the message you are responding to, HelpWanted71, posted that more than 3 years ago (June 08), and I don't recall seeing that name here since then.

You might want to search MedHelp forums generally to see if you can find HelpWanted71 and send him/her a message.

Someone else may answer your post here also, of course, but you might want to repost it with a title such as 'Red dots on fingers' or whatever would catch someone's eye.

There are a number of infections that the same ticks that carry Lyme may also have, so it's a good thought to follow up on.

Sorry not to be more helpful.  Let us know what you figure out!  Best wishes --

I have similar problems that all started with red dots on fingertips about 1 year ago.  Did you ever find an answer for your issues or diagnosis?  Please let me know if you did, I would be grateful.  Thank you.
