Feeling horrible ... yuck..

The past few days have been bad again.  The burning in my shins and feet are back, but it's also moved to some new places including my butt.  I've also been having a lot of episodes of slight numbness in my legs, and again butt.  I notice I'm really sensitive to any sort of pressure.  If I sit my butt and other area will go numb, if I lay on my side that whole side/leg will go numb.  Sometimes the numbness will stick around, but it usually goes away after moving around and changing position.  The numbess makes me really nervous.... as I'm still worried about MS.   I've also had a lot of dizziness and the twitching is back.    Could I be in the midst of another herx?  I'm 1 month into abx and herxed in the first week for a few days, then leveled out, felt better (for a few days) and then got sick again.  It seems this is the pattern I've been having....   sick, level out, better, sick again...    Is this normal?     But I don't get it cause I had definate Flares/herxes when I wasn't on abx too.  I thought a herx was only cause from die off from abx?!!   I DON"T GET IT!!!  Can anyone explain this to me?
I'm going into my GP today for a follow up (she's following my LLMD and watching me as well).  I think I'm going to ask for something for the pain, and possibly for the jitters.  I feel jittery and twitchy and feel like my nervous system is going crazy.  I'm wondering if an anti anxiety would help "tame" this?

   Thanks for listenting.

I get the numbness that gorbsx describes.

I can tell you that when I restarted doxy after being off 6 months I had a horrible herx that lasted over a month.

It is also my underdstanding that the bacteria can only be killed in certain stages of their life cycle.  So it could be possible that this is the 4 week cycle and a whole new batch is dying??

I can relate to a lot of what you describe - I get the numbness esp. in right hip/buttock/leg area - I don't know what is going-on but it seems to be a circulation/inflammation thing.

I find I wake-up about every 2 hours during the night - it is almost like I subconciously know if I stay in one position I will feel worse!!

I have taken a small amount of 'diazepam' [valium] in the past - just before bed time - it helped with muscle pain - I didn't like taking it but I must say it did help and I was suprised at how little of it had a relaxing effect - I believe it can be addictive - I only used it as a last resort - it is prescribed for anxiety/muscle spasms.

there doesn't seem to be a pattern to my 'good' and 'bad' days .

take care - gorbsx
