I had forgotten about that. One of my friends on FB did the stings for almost 9 months. Unfortunately it didn't work after the first few months.

I posted this same question on a Facebook Lyme group that I'm in and got some interesting answers, not what I expected lol!
People with Lyme are using Apitherapy, and they explained that what I went through was a herx. Apparently the venom acts as a strong antimicrobial against the spirochetes. Interesting stuff.
I have heard that any surgery or procedure can so it may follow that a sting would.
I haven't done any specific reading on this point, but it's a good question ... and my guess would be that your immune system is so ramped up already in dealing with Lyme that all reactions can be intensified.
