Stuff only people on MedHelp would find amusing

Found this from 2004, in a different section of MedHelp, made me laugh, so thought I'd paste it here:

Commonly used medical-related abbreviations:

tx = treatment

sx = side effects

bx = biopsy

dx = diagnosis

rx = prescription

and

ex = alimony

I've participated (or at least read in) many forums over the years as my health situations have changed, and it is funny how each community develops acronyms and abbreviations.

When I was at my most sick with Lyme, I got used to talking about "abx" and "tbd."  When I wanted to grow my family, I was "ttc" and stressing out during the "2ww."  As a new mom, I've had some frustrating times trying to "bf" my "lo," but we're getting the hang of it!  And those are just a few of the many.

Let alone all of the acronyms for medical terms and organizations...

I know MedHelp puts those stars after our names for being frequent users, but I almost feel like we deserve degrees or certifications for learning so much lingo :-)
