The Bulls Eye

Can someone tell me the approximate size of it? I've seen pictures where it is extremely large but I don't know if there are smaller ones. It looked just like I got a big pimple or rash or someting at first. But it's smaller than a penny. Then the next day I noticed a black dot in the center and I was able to peel it off with a thin layer of skin. It might be nothing but my mom has Lyme disease and she always preaches about it so I'm curious. Thanks in advance.

My rash started as a disgusting pimple. It grew into a line of bumps. This expanded into a rash. The bull's eye was next.

I believe the rash grows daily like mine. Mine also oozed and itched.

Finally, I saw a doc. 10 days of doxy kept it at bay for one month.

Couldn't find a sympathetic doc for another 30 day of doxy, so the desiminated lyme turned into acute -- positive lyme on western blot.

Next it was six weeks of doxy. Found lyme doc. Doubled dose. Got sick as hell on 400 mgs doxy within 5 days.

Now I'm chronic. Back on doxy 300 mgs a day. Am getting ready to add beniax or some such thing.

Sick five months now. early detection is key is my point. the sooner you get treatment , the better. With your mom having lyme, why not see her doctor?

...and not everyone gets a rash, bullseye or otherwise.

I have read estimates that vary, but maybe half of all Lyme infections don't present with a rash.

I never saw a tick (they are the size of a pinhead). I never got a rash.  But I got Lyme and one of its co-infections.

My kid got a rash, along with 30 other red bug bites from summer camp, but the doctor denied it was Lyme.  It was.

You can get bit in your scalp and would never see a rash or a tick.

I love the advice to 'check your pets all over' for ticks.  Uh-huh.  Put one poppy seed on your dog's skin somewhere and see how long it takes a friend to find it.  "Never" is a good answer.

So even if you never got a rash, you can still have Lyme+.  Hang in there!!!

The bulls eye can be all sizes and not necessarily a "bulls-eye" . It can be small and solis as well and can also present as multiple rashes.

Mine was huge- about 6x4 on my calf. Typical bulls eye that unfortunately went undiagnosed.

Take a picture of it ans see a doctor for documentation, at least. Did you save the "black dot"? Or look at it under a magnifying glass? Deer ticks can ve very tiny.
