Lower CD57

Hi,
Just got back from the LLMD and he reran the CD57 tests. They came back a little lower than before.

How is that possible? I'm feeling better somewhat but not perfect of course;

I know the lower number means there is still active infection right?

I have been treated for almost 4 months. I was tested with CDC in June and then in October.

My doctor didn't seemed all that worried. He gave me some supplement to help raise the CDC57 level. He said it works wonders.

Thanks for your advice and listening. My CD57 level was 30 and now 14.

PS-what did your LLMD say about this?  Is s/he worried?

Just my opinion, but I wouldn't worry too much about this result.  Some doctors use CD57 as an indicator, others don't reply on it so much.  So even the LLMD community seems to have no unanimous take on this test  It seems to correlate with the level of illness in some patients but not all.

My level was only measured once and it was over 100, yet I was a disabled mush head with brain lesions, high-level inflammation markers (SED and c-reactive protein) and too many symptoms to list.

Also, if I recall, you have not been in treatment for all that long?  How much time passed in between your tests, and how much treatment did you have?

Anyway, just my opinion, but I wouldn't worry too much about this one vague test and instead focus on sticking the course with treatment and getting well!
