can this be lyme?

My daughterr has been sick for a long time. She recently has seen a hematologist who has diagnosed low white blood cell counts, low platelets and low hemaglobin. He referred her to a gastroenterologist who has found that she has non viral toxic hepatitis and possible sarcoidosis with granulomas. Her case is so wierd that thay have sent her liver biopsy to mayo and now they want john hopkins to look at it. She has migraines, constant high fevers, joint pain , numbness in hands and feet, debilitating fatigue, she is 5' 8" and her weight recently plummeted to 100 lbs.She is of course frequently agitated, confused and has memory loss. Her periods have stopped. These are most but not all of her symptoms...oh yeah, she had frequent urinary infections. They recently went away. I recently watched a scary documentary on netflix about lyme disease and i think this may be what she has. I have been reading online articles and it is scary as hell that the cdc and health community are pressured by insurance companies not to properly diagnose and treat this illness. We live in Georgia...any help or feedback would be appreciated. thanks.

PS.  I see the website changed my reference to infectious disease doc from "eye-dee" to "I'd", but I.D. is what I intended.

Sorry to hear about your daughter. The only thing worse than being ill is seeing a loved one suffer. I'm not medically trained, but in yoir situation I'd go see the I'd (infectious disease) doc as planned, but on parallel track, find an LLMD and get an appointment. Then take all medical records and tests to the LLMD appointment as background data. Finding an LLMD can be difficult, but worthwhile. It is not a formal designation, but a casual one we patients use, so it may take some sleuthing to find a good one. Search online for "LLMD morgan city" or whatever you are near, and try different descriptors of places you can travel to. You might also look at the ILADS (dot) org website for ILADS members you can drive to. If the first one seems not on the ball, see another. Your daughter is lucky to have you watching out for her. Let us know how you and she do, ok?

when she gets migraines i know she is very sensitive to light. We have an appointment with an infectious disease doc on wednesday but i hear they are notorious for not diagnosing lyme. Thanks for replying to my post.

Sounds like Lyme Disease to me... i dont know what else could it be, does she have any visual symtpoms by chance? like eye floaters, light sensitivity, etc? Anyway, if its Lyme then she will go on antibiotics and other supplements... you need to find a lyme literate doctor who is willing to treat her...
