could this be lyme disease

I have been having a bunch of weird symptoms for the past 18 months and can not find out what is going on. The following are the symptoms:
hairloss
swelling in hands and feet
constant ringing in my right ear
flashes of light in my right eye
did have tingling and numbness in my hands and feet, this seemed to have stopped about 6 months ago
my palms used to appear flushes, this stopped about 9 months ago
occasional headaches
some ibs symptoms ( I tend toward these anyway but they seem to be worse)
lately I've been having some joint pain in my hand and knee

I've seen an endocrinlolgist - negative tests, an ear, nose and throat doctor- stated I have some hearing loss in my right ear but couldn't find a cause, retinal specialist stated retina is fine in right eye, a neurologist - 2 negative MRI's of head, nerve conduction test o.k., I had a lyme disease test that was also negative but I'm wondering if I should be tested by a lab or a doctor that specializes in lyme disease. I appreciate any input.  Joan

I would say yes.Get a test from igenex or mdl labs for lyme and co-infections and then try to find an llmd because it might take a while to get in.I used to say it could be something else but after all your tests start coming back negative i lean mor towards if it walks like a duck its a duck and wasting time is the worst thing you can do.

I definitely have had some of those symptoms and a lot of the other that i haven't had are one the "symptom list" of lyme. I have also had the MRI's and nerve conduction test. I would see a LLMD for sure. I took a lot of my diagnosis in my own hands and contacted IGenX in California to get there test kit. I would advise you to maybe take the same path. Their test is a lot more efficient then the ELISA.
