I'm with Tina.
There is much still not known about how Lyme lives and survives, but it is possible to beat down the infection so far that it is either gone or close enough to gone that it feels that way. I'm living proof, and so are other people I know.
kudos to you for your positive approach!
i'd like to also believe though that chronic lymes can be treated too provided you are persistant and doing the right things, eg, taking anibiotics in the right (ILADS) doses, using drug combinations and antibiotic rotation. Dr Burrascano says that antibiotics should be rotated every 4-6 weeks....lymes is not impressed by predictable drug regimes...
i have read blogs of patients who have been very ill for several years and still beaten the disease ....heres the link to one....but there are more....

U make really great friends on here though!!!! thats what you should aim for with this forum.
P.S if you're new here. I have to warn you. I had to take a break from MedHelp. It was consuming my life and it didn't help matters. I found myself looking for answers on here and obsessed over this forum, hoping to find something that doesn't exist (a cure).
Love to you and your Journey. Its a long haul, but remember there is more to life then sitting in a room with 4 walls... Get out and try to look past the Lyme. Its the only way.
There is no cure for Chronic lyme.. i dont care how my antibiotics they pump into someone. There is a "treatment" but Lyme needs to be caught right way. Even with that.. i have a friend who was bitten and treated right away, she suffers from chronic lyme and has for 8 years.
I still suffer from the following:
- Vision Distrubances
- Fatigue
- Muscle Twitching
- Focusing Problems
- Dizziness/Vertigo
- Pins and Needle Sensations
- Crawling Skin Feelings
- Headaches.
Sounds like a lot eh? lol. I've learned to deal with it and managed to keep a smile on my face.
I was also treated for 6 months worth of Depression from the Lyme.
I've learned that "life's too short... especially when you have Lyme" so why not make the best and spike my metabolism and start to live a "clean life" Eating right, Excercise, Hobbies, etc.
My husband stated to expereince the exact same symptoms the same time i did.
He too still suffers from linger symptoms. He's not nearly as bad as me though.
I was treated for 7 months with two different "protocols" One was Doxy and the other was Biaxin/Flagyl.
hmmm so do u think if u have lymes u will be infectious for life?
did u have lymes symptoms when he contracted it? were u on antibiotics?
This is a tricky question. Dr's will tell you no. But i TRULY HONESTLY believe it is. I believe that my husband contracted it through me :-(
