we have a local gal that almost died from lyme before they discovered what was wrong. her sister was in ohio and wanted to be tested. the doc asked her if she has been back east recently.........isn't ohio closer to the east coast than the west coast???
When I got sick I was, and had always been, living in endemic areas and was still told over and over how, for various reasons, I couldn't have Lyme.
So instead of getting a timely diagnosis I got about a year of run-around, capped off with a steroid treatment that wreaked havoc on me.
I'm just griping that even when geography can't be used, there is always some reasoning to go against Lyme. You hear over and over how fast detection and early treatment are important for prognosis, but it seems all too often people get disciraged from even considering it. Frustrating.
maybe it is intentional. Many people do not realize Obama passed the dream act by executive order a week ago because it wouldnt pass by congress or the senate, goodbye miss american pie!
Yes, I agree. Plain ignorance.
=D I couldn't agree with you more. What ignorance.
