Removing Friends

I have two friends I want to remove as they are "clogging" up my Friend's Activities list. Reading past posts, I went to
"See All" to remove them, but they are not in my list anymore. I still have their activities showing up on my page, though.
How can I get their posts' off my page???

If you go to your Stats on your Profile page, along with listing how many questions you have answered and all, it says "43 Friends" (or whatever number you have.) If you click on that, up comes a list of friends with their photos. When you access your friends list that way, do the ones you have supposedly deleted still show up? If so, the third option under the "Send Message" column by each person's photo is the "Delete" option.
