Any Thanksgiving mishaps yet today?!

Lol, I'm just wondering because I got up this morning tired and trying to drink a cup of coffee while I prepared the turkey. My husband cleaned it up and left it in the sink. I took it out, put in the pan and was basting it, rubbing herbs, etc. on it. Then told my husband it was ready. He looked at it odd and asked if I didn't have it upside down. I realized I did! So, I had to flop it over and start all over with the basting, etc. Oh well, at least it's a well rounded turkey now!

I've also had to send my  husband to the store twice, lol. Anybody else?

Are there any turkey mishaps out there yet?

I have one from last night.  But it involves a Mouse in the House story .. PM me if you want to hear it .. I just don't want to freak anybody out if they are sqeamish about mice hee hee hee  .. living in the suburbs we all get field mice that come into the house at some point .. but, this time, well .. it was pretty interesting.

We watched a movie too, "Amazing Grace". I figured that kind of went with it being Thanksgiving. It was pretty good. It's the true story of William Wilberforce and how he fought to abolish the slave trade in England.
But I ate too much. :( Why do we do that on Thanksgiving?


Savas, I sure hope you don't have problems with kitty ingesting that much whipped cream!
I told your wife that we gave some turkey to the dog and cats as a treat and they were all sprawled out looking rather dead, lol. Come to think of it, so was my husband! Must have been something in that turkey! I didn't dare give them pumpkin pie or whipped cream though! Hope your kitties don't have any gastro upset from all of that.

Hmmm... we had one cat throw up all over another (who then went to sulk in the bathroom) and a third get into and eat most of the whipped cream for the pumpkin pie, then climbed the curtain when we took the whipped cream prize away.

Otherwise, a fairly peaceful evening. :-)

No mishaps but after we ate we went to see the new James Bond movie, Wow if you like action this is loaded , and very good ,better than the last one Casino royale . Now we are going to watch the news to see if the hostages in Bombay have been freed, I hope so whatever nationality they are ,but we heard they were Brits and Americans.

Me, too .. the store ... missing tinfoil and this morning ran out of coffee!!!!!  Cannot function w/o coffee ...

Turkey was ok ... wrong style of cranberry sauce ...

Cranberries .. they all look alike on the can.  Well, it's ok cause I vowed to give it up on the wt loss challenge LOL.
