I prefer to only visit the areas with earthquakes and fires or hurricanes ... at least the hurricanes have a season ......... the earthquakes are random.

Hurricanes, as we usually have warning that they are coming. I can evacuate before it hits. Fire ants? Those things are evil. lol
Oh Crumbs I know I drove through on the way back from Florida a few years ago I thought it was beautiful, then, I hated to see the devastation on TV Katrina wrought, I hope you get back there one day ,
i'm from new orleans, a katrina refugee now flung from home. and oh, do i miss it there... as horrifying as a hurricane is, the one good thing about it is that you get some warning of its arrival.
we deal with a lot of tornado warnings but not many touch downs, lots of flood warnings when it rains for days on end, sometimes Ive seen people actually use canoes up and down the flooded roads in my mils neighborhood.
Well, I do like being warm...
but I'll take hurricanes and tornadoes any day of the week. Tempestuous weather energizes me. :->
where i live there isnt any threat of any disasters.I have been watching your fires on the tv,we have a lot of natural reserves here, but they are usually started by fire bugs.So i am very lucky here.
Yes I found the threat of Hurricanes worse I think, I 'll just stay here and put up with the smoke, felt sorry for the poor peoplewho lost their homes , and kept thinking of all the animals that get lost in a huge fire .
I'm a fire and earthquake gal. (born and raised)
I'd take those any day over hurricanes and tornadoes.
