OMg thank you SO much for this.  I've been seraching and searching for a great site, but its so hard.  But then there other people that are sex offenders and NEVER get caught or charged too...It's very scary.

This is a good website. I used this when we were looking to buy a house. I tell you, though, they're everywhere. You really can't find a single neighborhood without some in it. When we first bought our house it didn't look like there were any near us. Now we do have some, one who's just down the street. It's scary, yes. It's good to know where they are. Of course, these are only the registered sex offenders. You never know about the ones who aren't registered.

yea do you love the fact that mine has like 10 in there!!... jeez... i remember when i was little they used to make them put a sign on front yard that said "im a convicted sex offender"

Yeah, what gets me is "they have rights". To me, they gave up those rights when they committed these crimes. Now, don't get me wrong. I think the 18 year old kid who had sex with his 16 year old girlfriend should not be put on the same sex offender list as a child rapist but that's why it's good to see what their crime was.
What I don't like is I was told they were supposed to be a certain distance from schools and parks with children yet I've seen some pretty close. Has that rule changed or something?

This is so scary....the fact that they are free to walk around and live in your neighborhood.  I don't think sex offenders should get that opportunity.  They are not able to be rehabilitated in my eyes.

From that site, I learned that there's a sex offender living 1 street down from me.
And, a convicted rapist is employed within 1 mile from my home. Creepy!

OMG!!! I knew several of the people! One of them my husband used to work with and I hated the guy when he worked with him!
