Could this be a sign of early menopause?

I'm 45 years old, haven't had my period in 2 months, have cramping like my peorid is bout to start, but has not happened.  Had my tubes tied and burned 11 years ago.  Is this menopause?

I'm having exactly the same symptoms - aching back, cramping, etc. Awful! I'm 50.

HI,
Amenorrhoea of 2 months can be because of hormonal imbalance or anovulatory cycles which are common at this age. Since you are having cramping it is likely that you get a delayed period. To confirm that it is menopause the stoppage of menses should be for at least one year. Also hormone assay will help confirm whether you are headed for menopause.
Hope this helps.
