For the most part, yes. The nozzle could irritate the tissue or one could be allergic to the ****** as other examples. Replens is still a good thing to consider along with discussing the problem in more detail with your doctor.

Sorry, my message was not clear. I am not sexually active and have not been in over 5 years.
The problem was noticed when I douched. I ****** occasionally and it was at that particular time that I noticed the problem. does your analysis still apply. If so I find it hard to believe that the
nozzle could cause same reaction as you mentioned. If that's the case the lining much be super thin???
Sometimes when a woman has not been sexually active in a while, there can be friction and irritation to the vagina lining and it can cause some staining, bleeding or burning. As a person becomes more sexually active, this usually stops or greatly reduces.
Consider an over the counter product called Replens. It does not have hormones but it thickens the lining of the vagina and moisturizes so there won't be burning and bleeding. Use daily x7 days then twice weekly. Be sure to make time for plenty of foreplay to minimize any discomfort.
