I don't understand why some doctors continue to tell women we are too young to start the menopause process when we are clearly experiencing symptoms! So keep pushing it. I did, and finally saw a female doctor and she is at least trying to help me out and is sympathetic. I am 43 and I have normal hormone levels but no periods and lots of anxiety, irriatibility, sleeplessness, depression, and I have been on anti depressants for years. I had my tubes tied and an ablation. Hot flashes started a year ago but my doctor said no big deal and that I was too young to be in menopause. I am trying microestrogen. And trying to eat healthier.

I too feel I am going thru changes which could be related to being pre-menapausal, but dr says otherwise.  I am almost 42. I started getting my period more often.  My co-worker said that's how it started with her.   My dr. says periods should become irregular but lessen not increase.......I haven't got my estrogen levels checked because the dr said no need.  I experience some of the other symptoms and I definitely feel its hormonal related.  I'll see if I can get my hormone levels checked.

i know im going though pre menapause and my levels are normal too. the only time to test the hormone levels to get an acurate reading is 10 days before your period starts. that is what my gynocologyst told me. my levels have been up and down and normal. My doctor is not convinced its pre menaupausal,, dizzy spells, cant sleep, hot flashes, aches and pains in legs, heavy periods, mood swings... is my doctor crazy?? you tell me.. i know my body and  i think i am in pre menapause,, i am 45, he told me that its too early and that i should be at least 50-52 years old!!!
