My journey began in 2009s when I helped my co worker to repair his car. I suddenly had heavy period and felt extreme fatigue. My family doctor requested blood tests, but results showed nothing wrong. Then, I was sent to my OB and put on the depo shots for1.5 years. My period become terrible. Had 7 weeks and stopped several weeks. OB got off the shot. My period became very heavily. I got crazy and had to go back depo shots. Finally, my OB did hydro thermal ablation to stop bleeding. After that time, I lost energy totally and can not handle daily life. So far, still rest at home.
I have same situation like you.
This sounds like perimenopause along with some Depo shot aftereffects. All this bleeding can be a nuisance but does eventually settle down. It seems more common to prescribe birth control pills than hormone replacement (Prempro) during perimenopause. And a course of progestin seems to be more commonly prescribed to stop prolonged and/or heavy bleeding. Hopefully, the Prempro will do the trick but if not, you may need to go with a progestin for 10 days or so or a low dose birth control pill
