Men Health

Hi Dr.
During this year hot summer 2012, my male genital is developing a smell like a dead fish smell which is I never had this smell until now I'm 62 years old. I have done sex only with my fiancee 2 months a year for 4 years now. My genital is feel sticky outside even after shower. No sign of STD due to she just done health blood tests for Visa, no sign of pain to go urine and no leak in penis. Do you think I have fungi? If so, what do you suggest me to use? Other wide, what else do I have? Thank you very much.

Sorry Hoang, a new tact, was you telling us about you being diabetic, try asking your doctor if he can change you meds over to new ones, doing the same job, this might help.
Good Luck

Hi NOHARD,
Thanks for your suggestion. I still take the same diabetes medicines for past 10 years plus but except the doses slightly increase few years ago. Nothing is new or change on diabetes medicines. Where do I find a new tact? No special/change diet for diabetes. Its bad smell happens to me just few months ago. Thank you anyway.

Hi Hoang, ok see a new tact being diabetes, it could be the meds that you are on that is given you your problem, But then you have not said anything about meds or are you doing by diet to control it.

Perhaps you caught a yeast infection from your girlfriend. I'd try some jock itch cream and keep the area dry as much as possible.

Thanks for your respond. Definitely, I did know to take care it clean and no fault smell up to 62 years. It is just started stinky like dead fish smell a few months ago such as like a stinky foot. I thought I may have a fungus down there since I'm a diabetes 10 years ago. I may have to try different antifungal medicines until I get right one for it. The tolnaftate 1% antifungal powder spray seems to help but not 100%. Any other thoughts beside go to see the doc?? Thanks.
