Sperm Life

by Buffalo4321, Oct 26, 2007 12:19PM
I recently had a vasectomy and my doctor said he would need sperm samples several weeks  after the procedure and gave me a cup.
How much sperm does he need to test and how long can I keep the cup before taking it to the doctor?  I mean after providing a sample should I rush over or can I wait a day and take it in the morning.  I'm sorry for the questions but thought it would be easier to ask here in this forum. Thanks

I wouldn't be sorry for the question.  I did this after my vasectomy a number of years ago and apparently they don't need much.  I put the 'cup' in a brown paper bag and drove over to the doctors pronto to drop off the sample with the receptionist at front desk.  She was very young; that was the most embarrassing part of the whole ordeal.  You'll do fine, but it's important to make sure things are working or in this case not working.
