Hi , if I was you I would take a complete break for about 8 weeks, this will give you body time to heal itself, you proberly have had a strain, and brocken a small blood vessel and the break will give time to heal and mend properly, but after that just takes it easy for the frist couple of weeks dont just rush back into doing it daily or more, just remember slowly, slowly.

I'm sure you're rather frightened - you didn't really list any other symptoms such as pain, tenderness or other physical problems that may even be outside of that "area" such as lower back pain, fever, etc - it could be as simple as a broken capillary - but - I think it warrants a trip to the doctor as it's happened the past couple of years and why not get it checked out just in the event it's something a little more serious?
