Have you had a complete eye examination by an ophthalmolgist? An underlying eye problem needs to be ruled out.
Migraine headaches with aura do have a subform wherein a typical aura like a visual symptom may occur without the presence of headaches or headaches occur in more than an hour or so but not during the presence of an aura.
An EEG may also help rule out an accompanying seizure. Partial seizures may present with aura.This is just one of the differentials though.So discuss your concerns with your physician.
