Brain Tumor or Allergies??

by armani328, Jun 30, 2009 05:39PM
I' am a 27 year old white male that has a history of allergy sinus problems. Post nasal drip, watery eyes, cloged/stuffed up nose, and some times swollen nodes in neck. For the past couple weeks now I have been dealing with a forehead pressure pain from 1 to 10 on pain I would give it a 3 to 4 its like a cloggy feeling, and between my eyes I have some pain when pressing between nose bridge. I also had a swollen node on the left side of neck last week but went away. I mean I think this is allergies, but the thing is that I 'am scared that I have a brain tumor, I got nausueas today for about 2 mins and had to eat a banana and it went away...and I feel dizzy a little bit. But as I read about brain tumors you get headaches, vomit, and feel nausues too. What do you think it is????? HELP!! please thank you!! PS no family history of brain tumors and I get a pyshical every year and 100% healthy..eat right work out etc... dont smoke or drink...

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
If eating a banana helped then the nausea could be due to low blood sugar or acidity. This can cause headache too. I do not think this is related to brain tumors. If the symptoms reappear get your blood glucose checked. You can also take OTC omeprazole meanwhile. Along with it you can try over the counter antacids. Avoid heavy meals. Avoid too much of caffeine, tea, fried food and drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic fuzzy ones. Avoid heavy exercises within 4 hours of a heavy meal. Raise the head end of the bed by pillows to 30 degrees. Go to bed at least 2 hours after food.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
