my 20 year old brother was diagnosed with pneumonia last week thursday and he had severe headaches. during the day he feels ok except the headache and at night he's feeling cold especially the feet and unbearable headaches. the doctor gave him some medication but he is not feeling any better. should we take him to the headache clinic? is there any relation between pneumonia and headache?
How is your brother? Vascular headaches, in particular toxic headache, is often associated with fever resulting from infection such as in pneumonia or flu. If the medicines do not work in bringing him relief, inform his doctor about this. Cold packs and stronger prescription medications may help. Take care and do keep us posted.
