My Pain Management Doctor thinks I'm having Cluster Headaches. He thinks it's from the pinched nerves in my cervical spine. I injured my back 9 years ago, and I have 2 herniated disks in my cervical spine. The cause of Cluster Headaches are unknown, but cervical disk/nerve injuries or diseases are believed to be one of the causes.

I've had my eyes examined. I go yearly and he doesn't think my headaches are from my eyes. I wear glasses when I'm driving, on the computer, watching TV, etc.. My vision got bad while driving at night when I was around 18 (over 15 yrs ago), and my Optometrist said it was due to eye strain. The reason was my job is/was clerical and I was on the computer most of the day. My headaches started after injuring my back 9 years ago.

My Dr. thinks I might be having cluster headaches. My headache is only on my right side and it hurts behind my right eye and radiates to just above my brow bone! It's kind of hard to explain, because even though behind my eye hurts; my eye doesn't actually hurt! I don't get nauseated and only sometimes am I sensitive to bright light. They are excruciating and come on as fast as they go away. I get a washcloth and wet it with hot water. As hot as my hands can stand. I lay down flat and lay the washcloth over my eye. I usually have to do this 3 or 4 times. Then I try to fall asleep. Sometimes that will stop them, but usually it just helps temporarily. nothing else works! Not even pain medications!

Hi and welcome to the Migraines & Headaches Community.

It could be migraines. But to be honest there are a lot of things it could be, like your vision needs to be checked.

You need to see your PCP and an eye doctor. If your PCP diagnoses you with migraines then come back and I can give you some tips. But, I cannot do that right now without more information. Good luck and come back to update us and get more info if needed!
