Hi there, i was wondering if you could explain to me what C5/6 shallow left paracentral disc protrusion and C6/7 shallow central disc protrusion (no neural compromise on either) would/could cause symptoms-wise?
Hi,
How are you? Disc protrusion in the cervical spine or region of the spine contained in the neck and upper back may present with pain that begins in the neck or upper back, then radiates through the shoulders, down the arms, and to the hands. There may also be a decreased range of motion or loss of feeling in the neck and shoulders. Nerve involvement may also cause numbness or tingling sensation that can spread to the arms and hands. It is best that you discuss the results with your attending physician for proper evaluation. Correlation with the symptoms present, your medical history and direct physical examination may also help. Take care and do keep us posted.
