Please help

I am a 33yr old female.  I have had severe migraines since 2004 when i was stationed in Korea, I was told my headaches were female problems, in Feb 2006 I had a complete hystorectomy. The headaches did not stop. They get worse and worse.  In october of this year i finally got an appointment with a VA Neurologist.  Before I get into that please let me give you some insite...I have migraines so bad that i take the imitrex injections, and phenogran on a regular basis.  I get migraines at least 2-3 times a week and I usually end up at the emergency room with an iv for fluids and pain meds to make it so that i can go to sleep and usually i wake up still having a headache.  There is also a terrible burning sensation from my sholders to the middle of my head on the right side.  I tell the dr and they prescribe me elavil-(amitryptoline) it makes to tired to function.  Sleep is something i used to do alot but not lately, the burning is too much when i sleep. I've tried changing pillows to sleeping in different positions. And my headaches most usually make me vomit. On 23 Oct 07 I got to see a dr at the Cleveland VA he read my MRI and said that i had a 3mm tonsillar herniation.  He said that it was normal but the information he pulled up on the computer in his office said that 3mm-5mm was operable.  All he did for me was give me a headache chart to fill out and gave me 50mg of phenagran and my imitrex shots. I've read everything there is to read on this tonsillar hernitation.  I am in misery daily. My neck burns, my head hurts and nothing really seems to work for me. They have tried to put me on meds but alot of them i cant take because my blood pressure runs low normally. Can any one give some advice??

Hi,

What was the indication for hysterectomy? and are taking HRT as it is supposed to make headaches worse. Please try to find a trigger for your migraines because they can be controlled by making lifestyle changes once you identify the trigger. Also take up a light physical exercise and maintain proper hydration.

then - Breath-out through right nostril keeping left nostril closed
then -Deep Breath-in through right nostril keeping left nostril closed
then - Breath-out through left nostril keeping right nostril closed
and repeat this cycle for upto 30  minutes twice a day(maximum 60 min/day).

Bhramri Pranayam -Close eyes. Close ears with thumb, index finger on forehead, and rest three fingers on base of nose touching eyes. Breathe in through nose. And now breathe out through nose while humming like a bee.
