SCARED TO DEATH

HELP, I went to a neurologist yesterday and he prescribed me Nortriptlyine for severe pain in neck and migranes (migraines).  The problem is on my questionaire I put - problems with bowl movements, I take medicine for that to happen, Obesity, and I cannot see without contacts.. The 3 main side effects of this drug.  He did not listen at all to my concerns.. Are the side effects VERY common or am I worrying for nothing.

Nortriptyline is known to cause diahrrea, accommodation issues and dilatation of pupil as you mentioned. Please remember however that side effects are not seen in everybody. Also it is not necessary that one may experience all the side effects. The degree of side effects also varies from person to person.
I would suggest you to talk to your doctor again about your concerns; he may switch you to another drug.
