Regular dizziness, piercing and pressure like headaches

It's been about a month since I started having regular dizziness. I feel imbalanced and like I am being pulled to one side. For the first few weeks I didn't have headaches associated with it. However, when my neurologist lowered my dosage, I started I having the peircing headaches. It lasts for a few minutes and comes and goes through out the day. Yesterday has been the worst headache episode I have experienced. It was pounding, and peircing mostly on the top of my head and temples. I didn't take my migraine medicine because I try to not just have it go away on its own. Today I feel a pressure like headache on both of my temples, and it feels like my head is sore (if that makes sense). When I press on my head or when I put on a hat, it felt like my head was going to explode.

I've had migraines for about over a year now. I don't know if I should go to my doctor and have an MRI to make sure nothing is wrong with my brain because of the dizziness. Please advise, I'm very concerned and not sure what to do. Thank you!

Hi and welcome to the Migraines & Headaches Community.

Dizziness is a very common symptom of migraines and is nothing to be worried about. Get some Meclizine 25mg from a pharmacy and you can take 1 three times a day as needed. I know what your thinking, that it is for motion sickness but, trust me....it does work!
