3rd m/c what does the future hold

On Friday, I went in for our 9week u/s and the baby had no heartbeat.  The dr said that it could take one to 2 weeks to actually have the miscarriage.  This will be my 3rd m/c the last one being in the fall.  Is it bad for your body to go through multiple pregnancies in a short amount of time.  Does it reduce your chances of having a successful rpeganncy if you don't wait long enough?  Also, the past 2 m/c were due to genetic abnormality trisomy 13 and 21.  Does that increase my likeliness if I have another trisomy pregnancy to have it happen again?  What tests should I be asking my doctor to do?

Sorry for all the questions.

I have had two m/c in a row and have asked the same question.
My self i dont see why not start straight away, i my experiance i didnt get pregnant till 4mths later anyway, so it shldnt make the difference because its not like i was going to stop bedding for 3mths.
I think a women know emotionally when she is ready, but also i have read alot about stress interfering with conception, so i think your need to be ready emotionally if what i read is true.
I know myself that there is not a day go by that the m/c dont came into mind, but i have also excepted that there was something wrong with my pregnancy and babys.

I have had alll the test under the sun done, and dh amd myself have also had karotype test as well for chromozone defects which test took mth to came back, but was all clear.

I am 40 and my dh is 43 so my dr thinks that my problem may be my age, but he also said that there is no reason i shldnt be able to became pregnant next time and have a healthy baby to term.

Its very fustrating when you have all th test and thing seem normal, and there are no answers.

As i said you can ask dr for karotype, is just bloods that you and dh can have to check for chromozone defects as thats what they blame alot of m/c on, What is dose is over a period on a mth they grow your cells and watch them devide, to watch for abnormal cells (welll thats the short of it)

I dont think its good for our baoies to go through the truma of multible m/c but i do know that the bodie is a wonder thing and we recover, I do know that the more d&c YOU HAVE ITS NOT GOOD FOR THE UTERUS LINNING AS IT cause scar damage, i personally would avoid D&C were possible, the body may take more time to return to normal cycle, but its the natural way, and the body is capible of taking care of it.

I have although had to have d&c with both m/c b/c the baby was still attached and had not came away:(
This was the worse for me as everything looked so normal but no heartbeat:(

There are so many test your dr can do to rule out thing but i tell you it sometimes dose not give you answers which is so fustrating.

But i also have read many success story of ladys have multible m/c and gone on to have HNM (Healthy Nine Mth)

My heart goes out to you and sad i share the same situation, i hope my post has helped you some, And dont loss faith, our bodys are one amazing thing!!

Best of Luck.

I'm sorry for your losses. I think honestly it depends on the woman and the situation. My dr has always said wait 3 cycles to ttc and I never did. My last m/c was sept of last yr and I'm now 25 wks pg tomorrow. I was shocked I didn't think I would ever be able to carry another child again. The dr's tell you to wait for the emotional healing as well. Your body and cycle do take a beating with every m/c so take that into consideration. If you are following your hcg levels down to zero and following up with your dr as long as you consult with them there should be a green light given to you to ttc. As for trisomy I'm not sure I don't have much knowledge with it. There are dr forums on here that your question can be answered by a dr and I would also ask your own dr for statistics etc. For genetic testing I would have them test for everything from cycstic fibrosis to blood factors etc. There is a full workup you can request. I would def get some answers especially about being a genetic carrier. Best wishes to you. I hope you get the answers you are looking for soon....Please keep me posted.
