Anyone have 6 miscarriages and had a successful pregnancy?

I found out yesterday I am having my 6th miscarriage and they are going to do a D&C sometime next week but we aren’t sure when.  They have to wait for the Lovenox to get out of my system before they can operate.  (

Has anyone had 6 losses and gone on to have a successful pregnancy?

I have Factor Leiden V, MTHFR, and elevated FSH.  If this baby comes back as abnormal I will do IVF with donor eggs.  If the baby comes back normal I have no clue what to do.

Losses:

1st: Aug 2006 Blighted Ovum (passed on my own)

2nd: Jan 26th Blighted Ovum (D&C)

3rd: Oct 2007 (missed miscarriage after seeing heartbeat) had D&C

4th: Dec 2008: spontatnous m/c (passed on my own)

5th: May 2009: chemical pregnancy

6th: Oct 2009: Missed miscarriage (saw heartbeat at 6 weeks 3 days)

I didn’t tell anyone I was pregnant.  It was a complete surprise and when I found out I just wanted to wait and see if this one would stick. Only my parents knew about this pregnancy and a few close friends. We saw a heartbeat at 6 weeks 3 days.  Yesterday I went back for a routine follow up ultrasound at 8 weeks 5 days and found out the baby died a week and ½ ago.  So this is my 6th miscarriage and my 2nd missed miscarriage as I didn’t have any symptoms to indicate anything was wrong.  (and I still don’t)  I should know more on Monday when they are going to schedule me for surgery.

This will be my 3rd D&C so I pretty much know what to expect afterwards. So tired of this ****.  Why do I keep getting pregnant if I can’t carry at least one to term?

I just don't understand why this keeps happening. 6 pregnancies 0 live births. Why do I keep getting pregnant if I can't keep them. It’s so unfair :(  I'm so tired of this emotional roller coaster. I'm nauseas right now too. that's the worst part. I still feel pregnant and the baby has been dead for almost 2 weeks :(  It such a horrible feeling.  I'm so tired of letting DH and my parents down. So glad I didn't tell many people.

My DH and I just adopted our daughter in July.  I'm so thankful I have her.  She makes this loss easier to handle

BTW: DH means Dear Husband

Hello Ladies ..I also have had 7 miscarriages ... 2 of them were before my daughter was born at 6 & 7 weeks...then it took 3 years of trying to even get pregnant... she is 2.5 now and since she was about 4 months old we have been trying to give her a sibling ... I am on my 5th miscarriage within a 13month time frame.  I have been through many tests and everything is normal. So normal that my fertility specialist didn't feel I needed anything to help with the pregnancies.  This is the fits time my HCG levels have been tested when I got a positive pregnancy home test ... it was at 43 at 5weeks 2 days later it dropped to 11.  When I see my specialist next I will most likely demand that test to be done to make sure there is not a bacterial or viral infection that is causing the losses...i have been told a cousin of mine had 4 losses before her doc tested for Ureaplasma Urealyticum...its a infection with out symptoms! and it makes the uterus not viable for a fetus and the infection actually causes the miscarriage ... When I asked my specialist about this in Dec the nurse just said ... that is not part of our routine tests. So things are being overlooked ladies ... this is not the only infection that can cause miscarriage ...my cousin sd 2 weeks on some meds for the infection and it was gone and she has 2 boys now. ...Best of luck to all of you! <3

This is VERY late from your post...but you sound exactly like my mum...Im trying to find some answers to help with my severe endometriosis.

My mum didn't have that.. however she lost 7 children including my twin (not all in her first timester) to an antibody in her blood. It was over 20 years ago and at 37 she didn't try for anymore children. At the time she was one in a handful of people in Australia to have this antibody....I don't know if it is your one. I'm asking her to get her tests again (she can't get the documents as those doctors have passed on, or remember the name)...I want to be tested as it could give a lot of answers to why i am rejecting hormonal treatment and surgery. She now suffer terribly from DVT :( We've almost lost her to it before.

When I find out I'll let you know if it's the same.

I just want you to know there is hope and I am living proof :)

Goodluck!

I feel I could have written myself many of the comments posted. I have felt the same things, shared the same fears. I have just undergone my 6th miscarriage. Doctors have done all possible the tests and they have found no reason. Just in case they put me under heparine, aspirine and progesterone. All these have not avoided the last miscarriages. Now the explanation they offer is that either we will never know the reason or it is systematic genetic "mistake" when the two set of chromosomes mix, although both our cariotypes are normal. Bottom line, doctors have run out of ideas in our case. I also tried acupunture and I really do believe it helps in making your cycles more regular and getting pregnant. But once you are pregnant, they do not perform acupunture on pregnant women (at least not in the centers I have been to). We have started the adoption procedure first because I am losing any hope of succeeding one day (although some of the stories posted really lifted my spirit) second because I do not think I can take another round of failure, now just the thought of being pregnant again terrifies me, as I can only imagine one outcome. I just want to express my deepest respect and admiration for all women in this post that have suffered so much and have the drive and courage to go on and share it and help others.

congrats on your current pregnancy.  Did they ever discover why you had the losses?

I have had six miscarriages and done rounds and round of IVF.  I am also on Lovenox and a daily baby aspirin.  I am currently pregnant with my second child and am 17 weeks.  I hope and pray this one works.

I am so sorry to hear about your pain.  I know the depth of it must have been overwhelming....it's horribly difficult.  I will keep you in my thoughts.....

I'm so sorry :(  How far along were you this time?  I can totally relate since I have just had my 7th loss as well.  Today I decided to start acupuncture again.  Have you tried that?  Will they be able to test the baby from this last pregnancy?  Sending many hugs your way right now.  If you need anything please feel free to contact me through this site. I think if I try and put my email address on here it won't show it.
