Blood Clot After D&C

Anyone else ever have a blood clot after d&c?  I had my d&c on the 19th and stopped bleeding after 6 days...then a few days later it started again...I called today and they did an ultrasound and found a blood clot.  They put me on methergine for 2 days.....I'm nervous because I also leave on a plane on Wed. morning.  I want to know how soon it will take effect and what to expect....I've heard other women on this med. for miscarriages and they've had awful side effects.....

I'm sorry for your loss. I personally don't understand why they would put you on methogen it stops the bleeding. I have never heard it used to induce anything. I would double check with your dr. I know when I bleed in excess they put me on it but I had been bleeding for 10 wks after my d and e and ended up with a d and c. Let me know what happens. I hope you feel better soon.....

I dont' know whats going on with this site?!?!  My post was on there a bazillion times! lol.....anyway...thanks for your post....the doctor didn't seem too concerned...I'm just worried about all the side effects of the medicine...I'm glad I only have to take 6 pills...I just hope that this takes care of it.  I'm hoping I didn't mess things up for the future....

I saw your post after I answered you on cycle buddies. I did have methergine right after a natural m/c but It didn't make me more crampy than I already was. Since you have a clot, I don't know how it will be for you but I was fine on it. I only had to take 5 pills total.
I hope that takes care of it and you have a great vacation. You deserve it!!
