Brown Spotting.....when will I miscarry?

I am normally on the pregnancy forum but will more than likely be switching over.  I have had 4 ultrasounds so far, currently 7 weeks pregnant.  Ultrasound shows baby is growing slowly and low heartbeat, 96 bpm.  My Hcg levels went from 29,000 to 22,000.  My doctor gave me a 60% chance of miscarriage.

I just started having brown spotting.  It started 2 night's ago.  I only see it when I wipe (sometimes).  And it's only there maybe twice a day.  Just a very small small amount.  Since I already have a 60% chance of miscarriage I'm for sure this is the brown spotting before the marjor bleeding that comes along with a miscarriage.  I was wondering how long will I spot (only a few times a day) before the real stuff happens?  This waiting is driving me crazy.  I keep going to the bathroom to check to see if I see red.  Other than the few brown spots I am fine but I know I will miscarriage soon.  If anyone who has went through this that had brown spotting before, when will the red come?

Thanks so much ladies!!  I hope I won't end up here (no offense 2 u 2).  I am so sorry to hear about your losses.  I had a miscarriage about 8 years ago and I remember it like it was yesterday, just something you never forget.  I just hope I don'y have to go through that again.  But it's great to know I have wonderful ladies to talk to if I do!  Thanks so much!  I will let you know what happens either before or when I get my ultrasound next Thursday!  Thanks again!!

I'm sorry you are going through this. It's hard to say. I have had bleeding with all my pg's. I have had 6 m/cs and with my last one I had no spotting just slow rising hcg levels but that is normal I have that with all my pgs. My suggestion is to keep having your levels checked and have another u/s done if you are not satisfied I would get a 2nd opinion. I don't want to give you false hope but with this pg I had heavy bright red bleeding and clotting at 12 wks for 6 wks and I'm 31 wks pg. Bleeding and spotting is a very common side affect of pg especially early on. Good luck and best wishes to you. Please keep me posted. I'm here if you need to talk!

For me 3 brown spotting lasted a few days approx 3 then light pink spotting thin the horrible cramping and enormous clots. All together the whole process lasted 2 weeks the 3rd time and 4 weeks the first time.  I really am rooting for the 40% chance everything is ok!  The emotional pain after a miscarriage is more painful than the miscarriage itself!  Let me know if you need someone to talk to but don't give up hope yet!
